I have arachnophobia. I can't even look at a picture of a spider. Even though crabs are NOT spiders and i can look at a crab after i recognize that it's a crab and not a spider, crabs still initiate that internal panic button response out of me. Enough so that it still makes me uneasy long after knowing full well that it's a crab. That all said, crab legs are delicious!
Oddly enough, scorpions dont bother me nearly as much as long as you dont do a close and detailed view of their face even though they ARE arachnids. They are still a bit creepy though.

They always discuss evolution as if it were sentient and can make rational decisions, forgetting that the proposed mechanisms of evolution are blind chance and genetic mutations that just happen to survive better. Also, note the phrase he said, "Evolution works with what it's got." Exactly! Evolution is utterly incapable of producing new characteristics. It can only cause speciation into more diverse types or mar what is already present, not develop anything new. Evolution is the greatest hoax invented by man.

i had a pair of fiddlers for a while - they also use it for regular communication - my wife and i could hear them conversing over dinner!! LMAO they were such cute and adorable little pets!! we'd be staring at them in awe at their little proceedures and whatnot, usually with noise like tv or music in the background, it wasnt till a few months in that we happened to start feeding them from our fingertips and as intense and sweet it was, we were hyper focused on them during this process and we could hear the series of pops and clicks as they were "talking" to each other (or us too i guess, not like i could actually understand it) and i decided to stick a mic in there and turn it up, then we heard that it was a vastly more complex structure than just a few pops and clicks - that's just what we were hearing in a passive environment with background noise etc..

I think your mistaking simple adaptation, for some "window into evolution" because of cognitive bias mostly, rather than simple ignorance. The awesome tech used to tell where the sound is coming from, lends absolutely zero credence to the "evolution in action" thing. It's just the animals behavior, and/or self defense strategies that it has adapted, according to it's environment, this is ALL that can be observed here, nothing more as far as evolution goes. This is a HUGE problem in science today, and perpetuation of this "new age, creator-less religion" is getting kinda ridiculous. I am a "scientist" and it's just my opinion, so don't get all offended over it.

I think those are the tiny crabs that you see everywhere in St. Lucia. I picked one of them up, but it didn't growl at me, it just jumped off my hand and ran away.

Crab squids were my most feared monsters, even more than the Ghost Leviathans (Reapers I mostly left alone and peaced out when I heard one). They are so creepy and the sounds they make................. Hated to have to go to the Degasi base and have one pressed against the window looking at me
