Come on this is totally not mentioning the Black Woman whose cancer cell lines are rife thru out medical & biological research and only after recent exposure reporting has there been an effort to compensate her family for the millions in profits gotten from them and medical advances. But yay pro-China ergo not antiAsian, it's agin the law now.

@Ansar M. Smith Research on CHO cells (it's pronounced C.H.O., but the narrator is one of the cool kids and pronounces it "cho") and using them to produce proteins and antigens laid the groundwork for using other cell lines to produce antigens for vaccines. None of the vaccines (Moderna, Pfizer/BioNTech, Janssen/Johnson & Johnson, AstraZeneca/Oxford, Novavax) use CHO cell lines for production of the vaccines. Janssen/J&J and AstraZeneca both use HEK 293 cells with adenovirus vector, Novavax uses a moth cell line Sf9 with baculovirus vector. Moderna and Pfizer/BioNTech's vaccines are synthetic and don't use cell lines for production, the mRNA is synthesized directly from a DNA template in vitro.

This is why we need to Honor Lab Animals, not try to end it. There is an argument to be made for finding certain kinds of animal testing because a sample of their tissue can now be grown in a lab and that sample used to make thousands of copies of the organ needed for testing without needing a whole animal. If need be killing 5 or 10 animals for tissue samples is that can be regrown perpetually in lab conditions is preferable to the cost of housing hundreds if not thousands of them. Especially for larger animals like dogs often used in cosmetic testing. Even more preferable and ethical though would be to take tissue samples in small tissue samples from hundreds or thousands of animals who are left alive and well after the procedure. In theory it could even be done by collecting medical waste generated by veterinary clinics without the animals needing additional procedures at all. This opens up the possibility of getting thousands of samples of larger animals like horses and llamas also. Veterinarians could partner with these research companies to give a discount to their patients because the lab is paying them for the removed tumors nail clippings and leftover lab samples. Therefore Bringing Down the cost of Veterinary Care while not decreasing the veterinarians income. Tiny But Mighty hamsters may still be required long into the future to create biologic. but for larger and more complex animals the era of hundreds of them living out their lives in a lab might be coming to an end. Or at least the possibility that it could end soon

In 2010, I went to a local hospital in Hagerstown, Maryland with stomach issues. I was later transferred to a large hospital in Baltimore after developing jaundice. There, I learned that there was a tumor blocking my liver duct-the cause of the stomach distress-and that I had Stage 3 pancreatic cancer. I had no prior family History of the disease and was only 44-years-old at the time of diagnosis. I tried so many treatment but still no change, until a friend of mine told me about Dr Harvey, he told me how Dr Harvey cured his uncle with his Herbal Products and suggested I contact him ,so I quickly contacted him and explained everything to him and he Assured me that his Herbal Products will cure me which I strongly believed ,so I Purchased it and he told me how to use it which I did , after some time I started noticing some Changes in my body after 30 days I went for a test and to my greatest surprise the result was negative, Wow I’m so Happy about this, thank you so much Dr Harvey. you can also contact Dr Harvey on VIA EMAIL: ( WHATSAPP:+16785689096

I contacted him and told him about my problems, he sent me the herbal medicine and I took it 7 days later I went to do the check-up and I was cured. I've always wanted to raise rodents and do scientific experiments on them - not hurt them or anything - just raise them differently and see how they grow up, give them different nutrients/vitamins/etc, watch how they interact and reproduce, how they react to certain stimuli, etc - that sort of thing. I got some mice a long time ago but I didn't have a very good habitat for them and they were just too wily. I got a couple of rats and the female died pretty quick - I just walked in and found her choking and gasping - I tried to do like mini CPR and stuff but it didn't work. But I had the male for a few years and we became pretty good buddies. But I'd love to have like a huge rat, mouse, hamster or gerbil habitat - like a little city - and let them breed and develop a little colony. Like that rat city or whatever - where the scientist guy had the thousands of rats and he studied how they interacted - that was fascinating. Also, that episode of South Park with the "Sea People" - I've always thought that would be freaking awesome too - to have little miniature people in a terrarium type thing and watch them live, evolve and become technologically advanced. I have always been utterly fixated on that idea - I want to do something like that so bad - either a hyper realistic simulation video game like that or get some little animals and raise them. Miniature people would be cool too but there are the ethical concerns...

Hamsters are not easy to keep, they’re needy little creatures. The vast majority of hamsters kept as pets are in straight up abusive enclosures with unsafe equipment. They need 450 sq in CONTINUOUS floor space at a bare bare minimum, really 600 is the minimum that should be used. Wire wheels are cruel and will injure a hamster, wheels should be plastic or wooden so they cant catch and break their feet. 10-12 inch diameter for Syrians, 8-10” for dwarf hamster species, anything less is cruel. Even the cages marketed as XXL by pet stores rarely meet the minimums, and cost a lot more than a homemade cage of the appropriate size (seriously, it can cost a lot less to make a larger suitable cage than buying an abusive one from a pet store). Research the needs of a pet before you get one.
